Crown is scheduled to go on at 1019 tomorrow night. Just because someone says they "believe" there is a 10 curfew, does not mean there "is" a 10 curfew. Personally I have no idea if there is a curfew or not. I am planning on sitting in the stands until corps stop entering the field. I think its guaranteed everyone will perform unless mother nature has other ideas. Z

2019 and 2022 Spartans have a very Bluecoats 2014-2017 vibe to them. Its cool to see them forming a new identity. Z

What if all the shows are at about the same level? In 2014 it was obvious that BD was clearly 1, Bloo and Cadets were clearly tier 2, etc. The ordinals reflected that. If the shows 1-5 are all super solid, you are more likely to see discrepancies across the board in numbers. If we are consistently seeing numbers all over the place, that implies to me that we have a great season with 4-5 REALLY good shows. Going into the last 2 weekends with the numbers leading to all kinds of questions is a good things in my eyes. I can't wait to see how this all shakes out. Z

If you want the 4 GE judges to have identical scores, why hire 4 judges? Save the show sponsors some $$$ and hire 1 GE judges. If all the judges have them same numbers its "slotting". If the numbers are all over the place, folks complain about that as well. What a thankless job judging must be... Z

THIS! I completely agree. I will add on top of this, how does one stop him from attending events. Nobody working at the Alamodome knows who GH is. Should they post his picture outside all stadiums, and have people scream if they see him? If someone buys a ticket and gives it to him, there is not digital trace of him having a ticket. It's easy to say hey shouldn't be attending shows. The logistics of keeping out of shows are much more complicated. Z

Blue Stars brass is super solid. The show...not for me. Z

I like the direction Troop is taking by going darker. The guard and visual side seems improved. That said, I cannot imagine that horn line making finals. It’s loud…and well…loud. Z

I like Academy. I do wish that instead of playing musical phrases inspired by Willy Wonka, they just actually played the music. I can't imagine its a copyright issue as I have seen quite a few groups use quite a bit of the Wonka music. Feels like it was a design choice.... Z

If you backed out of the stream and reloaded, the sound instantly came back. I missed about 15-30 seconds of audio. I have learned that a soon as any issue occurs (sync problem, lost audio, prolonged buffering) reloading the stream fixes the problem 90% of the time. Its not ideal, but most of the time it corrects the problem quickly and with little hassle. Z

I have a 1992 Vanguard tour shirt that I wear every year to finals. Still fits. I must have purchased it too big in 92 as I have corps shirts I bought in 2015 that now longer fit. Z

At this point, I feel like there should be a scheduled stand still show every year. When Muncie was a standstill a few years ago, it was awesome. Cavies, Bluecoats, and Phantom tonight was awesome. Give me a day in early July with all corps doing standstills on Flomarching. Three sites, East Coast, Midwest, West Coast. Start at 6:00 in the east and finish at midnight east coast. No overlapping. Just let me hear the music in the arc. Z

Were the conditions the same? It was clearly raining during intermission. You do understand how weather works, correct? There can be no rain at 9:00 and it start raining at 9:05. Z

Just because someone has a turf field, it does not mean they would agree to host a show. Reach out for sure...but its often not as easy as saying "there's a turf field, lets put the show there". Z

I did not realize it had started raining during intermission. I retract the previous statement. Student safety has to be the #1 priority. Hope everyone stays healthy and dry this evening. Z

I want everyone to be safe. That said, if every other group marches (and Blue Stars move quite a bit more than Bluecoats) this kind of stinks. Z

I think Blue Stars have hit their ceiling with Shapiro as artistic director. That's a top 4/5 hornline, but the show is not going to allow them to make top 6. I would be interested to see what Blue Stars could do with the same brass staff, but replacing Michael Shapiro and Kevin Ford. Z

I am okay with groups wearing costumes. That said, if the costume is going to be that close to a "uniform" how about just wearing a Scouts uniform. Z

Crossmen are great. Wish they looked and sounded more like Crossmen and less like "generic marching ensemble", but that is a finalist show. Z

Music City will be one of a handful of corps that got significantly better from 2019 to 2021. Z
