  1. Folks, Cossetti is ok. I am no longer on Facebook, so I have no idea what is floating on the net regarding Jim. These things I do know: I visited him in the hospital last week. We had such a good visit that the nurses weren't happy with the noise level coming from his room. He's been home for days. He walks, talks, farts, but doesn't poop his pants any more than before. Had a great Turkey Day yesterday. Dot says "he's still a pain in the ###". Just spoke with James and he wants you to know "he's not dead yet"......"not even close", and he'll be back online soon. Be well friends, Jerry
  2. Jeff, Yes, that was the nail, and you hit it square on the head. Jerry
  3. 1st sentence......yes, agree 2nd sentence......It's funny, because it's true. Jerry
  4. Yeah, I forgot about the guy on the microphone in Lawrence. Definitely adds his own flavor (in a good way) to the show experience! Safe travels to the Cabs and we'll see you Saturday night!! Jerry
  5. Frank, You are right on center with your comment about the person fitting in. Positive large group dynamics depend upon everyone "swimming in the same direction". Another thing that can get in the way of a potential over 40 member is their health. When someone can't take 32 steps across a gym floor in the winter without wheezing for 5 minutes afterward, chances are, they've mistreated their body for a number of years and a competitive corps may not be the "right fit" for that person. Heck, some individuals join corps in their late teens and can't hack it even though they are young and "look" as if they can. Attitude, aptitude and a good set of legs and lungs will get darn near anybody through a season of competitive corps. Quoting Yoda...."Do or do not! There is no try." Jerry
  6. Ahem.....Rich....he's not qualified for "late".
  7. Linked page has been updated. Battery percussion have been selling and we still have some pieces left. 6 snares, 2 tenors, 1 bass (the big one). Some brass and pit instruments available as well. How 'bout those tuba and euphonium prices? Jerry
  8. Simply put...George Parks was "The Greatest".
  9. Please go to our website. On the home page is a link to the info. www.readingbuccaneers.org
  10. So, any feedback or reviews on Scrapplefest? Jerry
