Decaf or bold flavor of the day,..makes no difference to me. Why,....does it always end up as DCI bashing?? The topic title might be a bit different each time, but it is always the same, bash DCI. Get over it. If it was about the kids, travel, education, and everything else claimed, we would still have the city and area marching bands like we had years ago. I vividly remember the Continental Youth Bands,.....the Lake City Bands, and many others that we used to see at many of the same parades that we marched in. All of us kids in "drum corps" would ask each other, why are those kids doing that and not marching in a drum corps?? After many years of thinking about it,....I honestly believe that those kids , at that time, were probably more talented than us. OK, go ahead and chew on that for awhile, if we want to return to the day.

Gheez,...a few corps put a few clips of practices, ensembles, ditties, interviews with members ,etc.,....and some people are making placements and predictions from them. I thank all the corps that give us little bites to help me through the long winter. I also thank WGI for my winter entertainment fix. Give everyone a break and stop being so critical of everyone in March. I know that Madison,Colts, Cadets, Blue Stars and every other corps is doing their best to entertain us and compete in 2010.

That being said,.... That said,..... Having said that,.... With that said,.... and,..... This, I Believe.

I never realized how much the english lanquage, especially in the written form, could be so entertaining.

I can't believe that this c##p is still brought up from time to time and rehashed and rehashed. When I marched,....doesn't matter when anyone marched. You did it because you wanted to. Gasoline has been high forever,...please don't use that as an excuse for corps folding and other corps thriving. While on the subject of excuses,.....try giving me a reason for something. I hate excuses. That being said (had to get that in here), I have attended finals either as a performer, instructor, fan, or parent for 44 years , and I still love each and every year for what it is. I don't get bent out of shape over every little change, who took top caption, what instructor moved from one corps to another, what is plugged in or out,....I simply enjoy each and every corps out on the field. The tears in their eyes when they bring that horn down, slap their sticks, or stop spinning for the last time is priceless to me.

You are correct about a Blue Star in windows honoring servicemen,...you are mistaken however on that being how the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps derived their name.

Thanks Bozz. Every time things are said that hit a nerve,...I go back and re-read The Years(The Philosophy).

I think Blackstar still finds it feasible to start another drum corps circuit to do just that.
