    Well, it appears that last year was a one & done for the Dome in St. Louis..........boo. It was fantastic to spend a full day enjoying 20 corps performances, without threat of weather cancellation. I told DA to come back in 2019........but he didn't apparently listen. So, I guess it's back to my previous pattern.........Lisle [better line-up IMO w/ Cadets & SCV] &/or Dekalb TofC [although Mandarins are there...] 5 out of 8 corps are at both shows.

    Any idea how many age outs from PIO this year? Last year a thread was here that compiled # of age outs for each corps. Might have been @BRASSO, he's good at digging into that type of info. In reading this thread [& previously the one regarding hazing/bullying], I wonder if many interested rookie mm's from the dairy state may now prefer looking to Shadow for their first DCI experience?

    When I saw Genesis in STL last month, I said to myself "that reminds me of Madison BITD". I'd LOVE to hear some more of ECJ '98/'99 with modern design in mind, and don't think it would get as hammered on the sheets as you might think. Of course, my ECJ examples would require some stunning soloist side note: and NOT parked on the back set with a microphone.............I digress. I'd say the ECJ examples also are closer IMO to true jazz show, maybe purely by the arrangements than Session 44, but Bloo's full ensemble shouts are certainly jaw-dropping every moment they unleash them!!!
