ACtually, everytime I look at the Vanguard DM's unis, I think of Troopers. What happened to the blue on the guard? When i saw them Sunday, Vanguards guard was all cream and gray... no blue anywhere.

Saw the Mandarins this weekend and I get the concept of leaving the homeland and moving to America, etc, but what does the whole section about the 7 windows, 3 rootops, 2 brothers, retc have to do with ANYTHING? The narrator says he found it on a slip of paper and I think he says his mother left it for him or something... but he goes into great detail about the meaning of these strange characters left on this paper.... What does this have to do with their show about coming to America?

cut out may have beena poor choice of words, but yes the offset is what I'm refering to - the asemetry of the look. it reminds me of the first year BD got teh electric blue jackets with the black and silver sequins, becuase it had the off centered, asymetrical look. In that case, the the contrasting black and silver added to the look. IN this case, it looks (at least to me) just like a poor design.

I find it interesting that there is a the cutout on the bottom right of the jacket, yet the jacket is the same color as the bibs. You can see the cutout in these pics, but you will never see it on the field, as it will blend in. Seems a little unusual to make something like that when it won't be seen.

It IS equal... sausage in one room, clam in the other.... You have separate showers because males and females have different parts. Straight men do NOT have different parts than gay men.

well, my opinion is base don personal experience as well, I can tell you that while I DO look at the guys in the locker room, not a single one of them (and there have been a LOT of hot ones) has made me srout wood just from looking. I've also watched gay porn that didn't arouse me just from looking. Arousal is caused by ones head space (not THAT head, you pervs!)not jsut simple geographic location. So i guess my personal gay experience counteracts your theories about gays. next!

My guess, Jim, is that todays youth are being raised with homos and are more accepting of it in general....and things like music, theater, and the arts in general I think have a higher concentration of gays, or at least OUT gays than other activities. DCI, also being a youth activity, is populated with people who are being raised with a more accepting mind, as to pro athletics, which is dominated by an older, less open/accepting demographic.

I will add this..... A band director I used to work for talked about back when he marched in junior corps...he said whenever he and his corps mates came across a a Cavi or a Scout, they would whistle 3 little notes....an F, an A, and a G. And he is about to retire this year or next, so that will give you an idea of the era he marched in....

That gets into a WHOLE other realm.... I can only control ME...I CANNOT control how someone else perceives a situation. If I was referring to my friends new kitten when I said I liked playing with her kitty, a coworker could EASILY percieve my conversation as being sexual harrassment and file a grievance. And even though i did NOTHING wrong, the error is in how SHE perceived it. The whole thing is ridiculous.

I think my sponsor would have an issue with that... but a bottled water is coo!
