  1. I'm looking to spend no more than $500. Thanks!
  2. My ears are still ringing and my body is still adjusting to the timezones. lol. Thank you for the standing o's and the complements we received through the stadium this weekend. Everywhere I walked in my uniform someone said something positive about us and our show. The brass section sang the ballad to us brought tears to my eyes. Until I looked over at my hubby (soprano Chris) ... then I started bawling. lol. Rochester was awesome. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Thank you to the fans and the love you all gave us this year. There's more to come.
  3. Can't wait to see everyone again! Looking forward to open house and looking forward to a great year for us!
  4. 1993 DCI Championships week Jackson, Miss. 2005 Natomas, Ca. It was 118 when the show started.
  5. aww thank you! It's also very nice to know people in the city's office.
  6. Ok I wrote to the city and they complied! City of Santa Clara website now has SCV listed on their community page. http://www.ci.santa-clara.ca.us/community/..._community.html Pretty awesome!
  7. SCV's website used to be on the City of Santa Clara's webpage under their Community section. It's not there anymore. I just wrote to the webmaster to see if they would put it back on there. God only knows, SCV has been in that city longer than stupid Great America!
  8. Christ Deb, you're making me drool.... I wanna march.... ^0^
  9. Off topic - Kelli, my 5 year old named your little avatar dancer girl "Sally". On topic - For those who are traveling out here for the first time and think that CA is 'warm' year round. It's not. Dress warm for this parade under your blacks. It is at night in February. Just FYI
  10. I only get nervous when people I know are in the stands. If I don't see them during the performace, I'm ok. If I hear them yell my name or see them, I'm done for. But being nervous doesn't affect my performance, it just does a number on my stomach acids. lol.
  11. Congrats to you both. You know you're not the only corps couple who got married. Chris (renegades sop) and I got married on Oct. 29 in sunny Pacific Grove CA. Best wishes to you both. Hope you guys have drum corps babies! We sure are!
  12. Hey Jan, how heavy is she now? Would she still fit in the baby bjorn? If possible, I'd like to keep my hands free. (Got me a 5 year old boy who was in the baby bjorn while I shopped when he was Olivia's age) If not, wagon will be fine. We'll just have to make sure she is fastened in securely. Ok back on topic.... Lisa D., the parade is always at night in San Francisco. I'm sure at the next camp they will make some sort of announcement of details. If not, you might want to bring it up. lol.
  13. There's an ER nurse in the Renegades color guard the past few years. She has a first aid box on site at all times and of course CPR trained. duh. You have no idea how many injuries she treated during her time in the corps. Including running someone to the ER after her triage work. When she got hurt (rifle vs. forehead) we were all frozen...uh...what do we do?? She walked us through how to apply first aid. In her first aid kit she had everything Walgreens has in their first aid aisle. I think there's even a defribulator in there. Hey what can I say, we're a senior corps. Of course, everything in that kit is new - meaning nothing has expired over the season. (pepto, aspirin, etc.)
