Wow, one sub caption, or, one judge was the difference between Cadets and Bluecoats! So close! -

"Hun, have you seen my chops? " "Yes dear, they're on the shelf next to your bugle and AARP card." Really though, kudos to them! I sure wouldn't be able to perform a show without a lot of work. -

Cadets show is just so bland and sterile, it's obvious that they have a lot of talent and they're working their butts off, but there's just no sense of connection to, or passion for what they're doing. -

Welcome to tonight's 12 minute course, U.S. History 102, the American Presidents.... -
I miss the stripe on the side of the pants. How can you keep the stripe straight if there's no stripe?? ;)

Cadets putting on a clinic on how to breathe low during the standstill. You could see each one of them totally tank up on every breath. Cool.

Glendora Show--Isn't It Happening Right Now?
Pizazzman replied to N.E. Brigand's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
I thought BD would hit 80 tonight for sure, but I'd guess the judges were reluctant to give it to them their first night back from 6 days without a show. They sure make it look easy though and their hornline has a nice clear, pure sound. Vanguard has greatness lurking, just waiting for them to get a handle on the physicality of their show. It'll be exciting when they do!- 61 replies

Pacific Crest has some surprisingly great hornline moments, and when they perform standing still they sound a lot better than you'd expect given their average placement. Nice big, full sound and they have some good lead trumpets capping things off nicely!- 61 replies

I'm at the show right now and I can tell you that attendance is not down at all, in fact, the front stands were darn near sold out and full! It's still June, but all the groups put on a good early season show tonight.- 61 replies

Ugh, missed musical opportunities in RCM! I know it's not part of their show and they probably haven't spent much time on it, but all it takes is teaching the drum major how to conduct the music instead of just keep time. -

Hmmm, so many conflicting feelings about Vanguard right now....I'm not a big fan of one of my favorite pieces of music being given a modern interpretation even if it is by my favorite corps. I like the visual package so far and I can tell that they're going to perform the heck out of what they've been given, but as much as I hate to say it, for the first time, Vanguard is going to have to convince me to like this show. :-/ -

I'm really diggin Crossmen's drill. Not too difficult, but visually effective. It's also not super disconnected and choppy as is the trend in drum corps these days. -
Crown will be in the Freedom Fest Parade in Provo, UT, which, is one of, if not the largest Independence Day celebration in the country. In the past, the parade could be seen on KSL Channel 5, and at KSL.com, so keep an eye on that if you want to see them.
