  1. I just wanted to thank you all for the wonderful wished and regards. The trip far exceeded our expectations! I've put together a play by play blog of the inaugural events. You can visit my myspace page and click on "inauguration events" below the music player or, simply click on the link below to visit the blog directly. Inaugural Blog Does anyone else feel more patriotic than they have in a long time?
  2. Jimmy, I'm so glad to hear everything went to well, I know you've been anticipating this for some time. All the blessings for a speedy recovery and another 100,000 miles on your new hip! With deep respect, Joey Pero
  3. Greetings DCPers, I hope this note finds you all well, anyone else frozen? I thought I'd share that I received a call from the inaugural entertainment committee about a week ago asking me to be a featured performer for two events. I nearly jumped out of my shoes! This distinct honor came very close to the event itself, so my team and I have been busy putting together all the variables necessary for a dynamite performance! We are confirmed for the New York State Constituency dinner, (where I'll be performing solo), and the Mayors ball, where my band and I will be playing 5 tunes from my soon to be released record, "Resonance". No news on these events being televised, we probably won't find out until we're there. Among the scheduled guests will be President elect Barack Obama and his vice President Joseph Biden, the Clintons, Gov. Patterson, C. Schumer, along with many others. You can hear some of the tunes we're playing on my myspace page (link below). Another representation of drum corps' creation in Washington this year! All the very best, Joey
  4. A shock indeed. Curt was a true gentleman and exemplified team spirit. He will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers to Margaret and family. God Speed Curt! With deep sympathy, Joey
  5. Ultimately, we all have to do the work to reach our goals. You have been a force that served as support and affirmation. We are manifestations of our upbringing. I'm very humbled and fortunate to have had the experiences that have presented themselves. Unfortunately, Doug, or, DRM management, had to let me go because of a breach of contract. I didn't meet their GR attendance quota in 2001. Thanks again man! Hope to see you over Thanksgiving. Joey
  6. Glad you like it. All of the live bass riffs are on upright played by Bill Moring. Birth, Defying Gravity and Wrapt are with keys. I really appreciate the comment on prowess. It's really fun to conceptualize an album and bring the thoughts and ideas to life. Trial and error, checks and balances. Starting out with notes (on legal pad and staff paper) and finding out what materializes. Music is something we all can share. It allows us to resonate quite deeply; and communicate. Joey
  7. Cozy, All the best thoughts and intentions towards you for a speedy recovery. Jeez, what happened? Joey
  8. Always humbled friends.. Thanks for the response. I hope you enjoy the rest of the tracks. After all...it's tough to put out a TRUMPET record these days. Spam...I'll see you next weekend. Fran...I look forward to meeting you guys out sometime very soon! and catch up. Marty...Thanks for the comments. I consider the classical charts a direct drum corps translation to what the Bucs stand for in DCA. When did you March? Camel Lips...I want updates on your son. pronto! And; how are the chops? ILoveto8vA...I heard a recording of you wailing on Birdland with the T-birds! Send me some finale files! Melligene...Mendez is the master! I'm interested to hear your Mendez stories. Donny...I'm glad you instilled the value of sight reading and buckling down. Your influence has been profound to me. Thank you man! Tom...You are the ONE and ONLY manager among managers! How about we bring DCA to Jersey City in a few years? Followed buy a DCA party at my place? Hey...It could happen. Joey
