Watching the Flo stream of DCI West and the DeMoulin ad had the complete Cadets uniform with Shako and unzipped jacket. Apparently the show is a mess, but I absolutely love the complete uniform. I will actually see the show tomorrow night, so holding off until then on if I agree with all the horrible comments.

Better compared to what? Compared to the last couple years isn't saying much. Or compared to other corps. Like others have said everyone has been dealing with rain (except west coast corps probably)....

That doesn't work in modern day DCI though. Watch recent shows and compare the initial show to the finals show. Almost all of them have very minor changes bc the arrangers, visual designers, etc.....don't do as many edits and are not with the corps everyday like back in the day. They just add the last minute of the sow midway through the season.

Well that's unfortunate. Guess the uniforms got me excited, but I know that talent level is lower given circumstances. Well hopefully a place to start the build back up over years.

Different time, different style. Was amazing for the time and show. I mean Greg Lagola never misses IMHO. Bluecoats always on point.

Can I please get a pair of the pants for my personal closet....love them! Need to see guard in context of the show.

I think the Cadets corps uniform is Amazing! love the cut out in the leg with the stripes. Guard is a little gaudy for me, but on the field from a distance that can be what you need.

Modern, but still classic, and works with what I know of the show. So far so good!

Nothing would make me happier! Can't wait to see all of the corps Thursday.

Hopefully a good "Wow"?

I will wait for the entire product and show, but why go with such a "heavy"/dreary look as Victorian when light/bright is so much more energetic and youthful! Here's hoping it works and I am wrong.

You can't really tell much, especially visually from the video....It sounds good though!

Yep especially guard. I like the translucent aspect though. GE points!

I like the concept, although kind of 60's, Jetson's/Barbarella. The translucent aspect it neat. Surprised how much the guard unis look like '17.

Do the uniforms have capes/skirts a la Broken Arrow last fall? I get that impression from one of the pics

Yep, Cadets props have been laughable for the most part, especially given how Bluecoats and SCV have upped the ante so much. I am not surprised that prop quality/utilization will be vastly improved as that is a strong point of Dartmouth's indoor shows and the people responsible for those pretty much designed Cadets show. Expect something more modern and accessible. BTW, looks like BAC has some prop surprises for us as well given the peg boards they showed. So much interesting stuff you could do with that.

Why to Cadets topics always devolve into something that has nothing to do with the show.....some things never change.

So excited to see Crown's Gabriel's Oboe. That piece is so moving to me, and with Crown's brass I feel was are in for some goose bump moments!

I think the key this year as others are saying isn't placement, but fielding an entertaining show that peaks interest for recruiting. Then they can start the comeback in earnest. They need to do what BAC has done the past couple years.

Is that Marc Sylvestor? Cadets drill writer/program coordinator on and off from 89-2006?

For me the question is will BD and SCV be 1-2 for 3rd year in a row. They seem to have separated themselves a little from everyone else.
