  10. I like Jurasic Lancer's taste in drum corps! Those would be my picks as well: 1984 Garfield Cadets 1991 Star of Indiana 2013 Carolina Crown
  11. Yes, the Bb French horns sound like the 2V G French horns - just in a different key, and their tuning is a lot better. I marched on a 2V G French horn for several years, and I now have a 3V Bb French horn. The 3V Bb French horn plays surprisingly well (slots are good, tuning is good), sounds good, and projects really well.
  12. Tried it once, and it went over like a lead balloon. The staff members of the corps had zero interest in even discussing this for a vote.
  13. A couple of great seats just became available.

  15. As I understand it (Dan Acheson explained this at a meeting for Board Members of the corps last April), DCI plans to continue to offer CDs and DVD/Blue-ray for the time being, as there are a decent number of folks like myself that buy them every year. DCI was selling DVDs/Blu-rays at the past couple of regionals.
  16. Call me a tech dino, but this is why I have been buying the CDs and DVDs/Blu-rays every year. I do not trust that VoD will always be available. I am not alone, as a decent amount of CDs/DVD/Blu-ray are sold annually by DCI. I do not expect this will change in the near term.
  17. Howdy neighbor! (Potomac Falls here - drive through Reston daily on my way to work).
  18. Well, NoVA actually. Potomac Falls, and I work in Tysons Corner. I worked downtown when I moved here 10 years ago.
