Aunt Nellie put "moleskin" on the back of our heels between parade #3 and parade #4 on Memorial Day and on Independence Day for added comfort in our "white bucks". -
Including "groomers" with names on caption award trophies.

My old-school memories revolve mostly around the 60's team of Currie and Reynolds but I also remember seeing this man's name at the bottom of sheets numerous times. (sheets with columns for specific rudiments) The transition from "ticks" to "tapes" was largely overseen by men like Joe. Joseph Colla, a steady figure in the earliest days of DCI judging, dies at 80

A Great Article on The Cadets

I was expecting a severe injury in 2023. That's all I'll say. -
Bluecoats Beatles show borrowed considerably from the movie musical "Across the Universe" and the Cirque show "Love" playing in Las Vegas in terms of re-arranging and re-imagining the look and meaning of the Beatles songbook. IMHO.

Bluecoats and Blue Stars programmers have gotten a lot of product from Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas. I would look there. "Ka" is my favorite (it even features a "wand spinner" that probably honed her skills with a rifle as a teenager. I would like to see a DCI version of "Ka".

I enjoyed watching your guard doing the side slams on the tennis court and my favorite part was the guard pointing their pole through the battery arc in American Salute (Johnny Comes Marching Home). (Chase those battery judges away. LOL) -

Probably because it's difficult for the musicians to make a surprise entrance or a surprise exit when they are required to haul out and haul off all of the props. -
You may wish to contact Battalion. They bought the 2012-2013 uniforms from Boston and used them for several years but have since moved on to newer uniforms.

I had about 2 inches of mud on my Caballero bell-bottoms from trudging up and down the 50 (snare line) at that show. I'm surprised I kept both shoes from being sucked up into the slop. It might have been '74. Hard to remember. -
For the Holidays I Would Like??

I always hoped that they would have tilted the 4 sliding ramps onto their sides and connected them to form the Star of Bethlehem for the religious ballad instead of using the church painting. -

Dance Company vs Color Guard

I remember the year Cadets guard went to "comas" as a replacement to simulated rifles claiming that the rifles were too "militaristic". -

I'm thinking it was a "star" corps that was spun out of a prior year "alumni corps"?
