Corps have sponsors for everything. instruments, uniforms, props, flags/weapons, even shoes. A tour cost that much..........maybe we should limit food consumption, or turn the AC off on the buses. This is the worst idea I've heard in sometime.

Other than Star, all of the corps that went by the way-side did so under their own accord. Whether it was due to gross, and I mean gross financial mismanagement or due to substandard performance like this stellar example of DCI greatness: June 29, 1987; DCI show in Terre Haute, IN; Prairie Fire scored a 5.9; that is correct, 5.9. Yep; I sure was extremely sad when that fine example of DCI greatness folded I tell ya!!! Sorry, but unless we are talking Star, all other corps for one reason or another ‘deserved’ to go away.
I really don't think Glassmen, Suncoast Sound, Freelancers, 27th Lancers, Velvet Knights, (just to name a few) derserved to go away. Lets not also forget when YEA cut Crossmen loose almost destroying them and Madison Scouts organization cut Southwind loose.

Not three places though.
no but i was responding to being stuck in 4th and notmedaling this year

Crown wins on back to back weekends. Are they the favorites going into Indy now? Best year ever. It's a three corps race (sorry Bloo fans ... you haven't placed higher than fourth in quite a while ... not going to happen this year).
bluecoats almost always gains a place throughout finals week

It doesn't appear to be on the sideline

the TOC shows seem to score differently from the regular dci shows. So no matter what happens tonight, San Antonio could be totally different.
-
This might be a bigger issue if cavies were not so close to phantom and madison not so close to blue stars. These are all wonderful organizations that can accommodate all the talent of their areas. So let phantom have all female guard and cavies and madison hold to tradition and be all male. There are corps fits for everyone.

A judge in Michigan took me out in 1990, really messed my mellophone up but it gave the corps a good laugh since I wasn't hurt.

Anyone else having script errors on the DCI page making it impossible to navigate?
Its been this way all day, and its not my computer as I have had no problems any where else.
-
Is all the material there this year or are there copywrite issues again?
-
Since Blue Devils are not doing either regional, how is there performance slot being determined for San Antonio?
-
why won't it let me post pictures

As a performer you want to hear those screams because it hypes you to want to give even more to your performance. As far as people claiming they don't get excited to their feet anymore, I think has nothing to do with the corps. In general we all become desensitized, especially having experienced a lifetime of awesome shows.

I think Star of Indiana 1990-1993 changed the creative process forever.
