  1. There's one member of the colorguard I know of.
  2. Fran, it's always great hearing your voice at any drum corps show. Great job once again last night! It was great seeing you afterwards on the field. It's pretty nice having championships in our back yard, isn't it???
  3. I just saw the Buccaneers' video posted on here. What a very classy move by the corps to leave Geoff Silver's spot open. I'm sure he was marching with them in tonight in spirit.
  4. The thing I will remember about him is that he always had fun. It could've been 95 degrees and 300% humidity, and he was still completely into being out there on the field and enjoying every minute of it. RIP Geoff. It's always your home show.
  5. Yes she did. 8:28 this morning. 10 lb 8 oz baby boy. 21.5 inches long. Sounds like he's going to be a tuba player just like mommy.
  6. Good luck with the show, Dan. Since Chambersburg is as close as DCA gets to me, I'm gonna try to make it up to the Chambersburg NFL stadium this year. It was a great venue to play in last year, and I can't wait to actually see a show there.
  7. Usually at this point, the corps has been outside since early April. Dynamics, balance, and such have been adjusted for the outdoors. It's not designed to be contained by walls. (Anybody who was at the Winston-Salem indoor performance in 2005 knows what I'm talking about. I'm surprised the room was still standing by the end of the night.) But if you wanted echo Saturday night, you should've been in the gym when the hornline was warming up!
  8. Some of us lead baris were stacking a few notes in the encore ;)
  9. Matt certainly said it best. It was definitely a moment that brought a lot of emotion to me before our final performance. I distinctly remember seeing MBI and Hurcs, but I know there were others there that I just can't remember. The moment was so surreal and overwhelming that it was almost impossible to take it all in. Thank you everyone for your support and congratulations on a wonderful season. Best of luck in 2008.
  10. Thanks for the kind words, Fran. It was great hearing your voice once again as we were taking the field. And congrats to the Sunrisers on a wonderful season! Fran, I hope all is still going well with Barb. Somewhere in the middle of our opener, I saw a lady sitting down low with what looked like (at 174 beats per minute) an Orioles hat on. I know she wasn't making the trip to Rochester, but for a second I thought, "That would be great if that was Barb!"
  11. I don't think the camera had a good mic on it. I had another camera on me for part of the rehearsal, and it wasn't much of a mic to speak of on that one.
  12. Fran, I'm glad to hear that things are improving. I wish you and Barb well.
  13. I never knew that group existed. Granted, I would've been 12 at the time. But still, I'm surprised I had never heard of it.
