Both cannot and can not are acceptable spellings, but the first is much more usual. You would use can not when the 'not' forms part of another construction such as 'not only'. (Source: AskOxford.com)

Same for the D2/3 scores. They redirect to the D1 finals.

It's just another reason to love Drum Corps. My life got better the day my son came home and told us he had heard of this thing called "DCI" and he wanted to try it out. 2 kids marching over 7 seasons >$15,000 spent, and no regrets. These kids rock!!!!!!! Life is good.

Agreed, another Corps that I've always found entertaining and crowd pleasing, but under appreciated. Nice to see some of those "crowd favorites" getting some attention from the judges. New trend in scoring?

Surf has nothing to hang their heads over. Hopefully they'll be there season after season to challenge the toprunners. Being in that position brings home Golds, and I hope they see them.

Mom was out there and may well have left before Surf. If it was between corps, oh well. We are a newly retired military family and are scattered to the winds, so Mom took the time to see her kids. If that didn't disrupt Surf, and it wouldn't have, we've been her for years, and know when to leave seats, then that is fine. We don't live where we did when the kids left, and won't be there when they return. Parents will take every moment to be with their kids they can.Personally, I've had only three months with my kids in the past 15. Shouldn't you have been praising an East Coast parent for making the trip in the first place? No need to respond, don't have the time to spare to read it.

Surf, congratulations on a best ever season. You've been one of my favorite Corps since the "Beach" show in Orlando. Loved the Lifeguard stand. Thank you for making this season as exciting as it has been. I caught your homeshow, and left before scores to catch up with the kids, not knowing who had won. You were definitely in the hunt all season long, and for any parent, Surf or Spartans this West Coast swing has been a nail biter. Congratulations on what you accomplished.
