  3.

Ron Gunn would like to reconnect with you. Please call or text at: 315-289-4553. He needs tickets.

  4. How do I delete a post from The Marketplace after item is sold?
  5. I don't know about you but I'm waiting for the first G7 World Championships. Would prelims cut the field to the top 6? How about semi-finals to the top 4? Can you feel the drama building? Can you hardly wait for a finals week (or is it day)like this? Is this how it might be AFTER the same 7 corps tour all summer, making the results even more predictable than they are now? (Of course, this assumes that a G7 tour would even have judging and not be just an exhibition tour.) I, and I hope you, sincerely hope our activity never comes to anything approaching, what at least for now, are just a bunch of facetious possibilities.
  6. I can understand the G7 wanting more voting power in DCI or splitting off on their own. I'm sure what they feel is a reasonable economic model for them is far from what it is for the 20th ranked World Class corps and definitely what it is for Open Class. There's also no doubt that that these are the corps that the vast majority of drum corps fans travel many miles at great expense to see. What I'd like to hear is what changes the G7 want done to the activity that they feel cannot currently be passed in DCI. Also, do they feel they can be economically sound with just their 7 touring corps and a 7 corps championship if it comes to that? Would there even be a championship (or even judging!) or would there be just exhibitions? I think we need answers to these questions before we can realistically evaluate the proposal by Hopkins.
  7. Concerning my post on page on page 1 yesterday, I was just informed that OP means Original Poster and not Post. (Oops!) I meant to refer only to the intelligence of the idea and not the person, and did not mean it to be a personal attack of any sort. Sorry if it was interpteted that way. (Feel free to remove some of the 10 million minuses I got if you wish).
  8. I didn't call anyone stupid. I said his post was. Saying a certain idea is stupid is a criticism of that thought, not a criticism of the person who made it.
  9. Just saying --- I never mentioned anything about BD or DADA in my post. YOU DID. I also appreciate the BD show for it's quality but is it the direction we want drum corps to go in? I think we both can agree it's not.
  10. The OP has to be the stupidest one ever on DCP --- and that's saying something. I don't see how you can call yourself a traditionalist and basically want no rules for the activity. I'm hoping you're being sarcastic but I fear you're not. There would be no "either or" whether this would destroy drum corps or not --- IT WOULD!!! I think you should hop on one of those jet packs you mentioned and go find another pastime to ruin. 8/15 Edit: I was just informed that OP means Original Poster and not Post. I meant to refer only to the intelligence of the idea and not the person, and did not mean it to be a personal attack of any sort. Sorry if it was interpteted that way.
