  1. 2008 Phantom Regiment 2008 Boston Crusaders 2007 Carolina Crown 2005 Madison Scouts 2004 Santa Clara Vanguard 2003 Crossmen Kick ### shows all around! (Although frankly I still can't understand stand how Madison '05 beat out '03)
  2. SCV: 2004 BD: 1994 Madison: 1995 Phantom: 2003 Crossmen: 2000/1998 Crown: 2005 Cadets: 2000
  3. Wow what a great lineup. Holy Madison Scouts. I've always enjoyed Spirit and this year looks like it's gonna be another great one for them. Best of luck all!
  4. That's funny I was just listening to this show earlier today and was thinking the same thing. '02 and '00 are definitely my favorite Bones shows...followed closely by '92 and '97 of course.
  5. Now this is the best post so far. I agree with you wholeheartedly. In a time where so many people of these boards talk about the lack of drum corps in the country, there seems to be a lot of people unwilling to allow the open class to gain any kind of importance. DCI should be more hellbent on beefing up that class and preparing them for an eventual move to world as opposed to creating new corps or narrowly supporting almost exclusively world class corps.
  6. Go bones! I'm definitely seeing a finals placement in the very near future.......
  7. It would be really nice to see a DCI corps in NY State. There is so much talent up here, with several top notch music music schools as well as high schools. Granted you can drive seven hours (as I did) for all rehearsals with corps out of state, but it would be nice to see a corps right here in the state.
  8. Yeah breathing block is especially painful when your drum major is a former track star and can outrun pumas...
  9. That's awesome to see more Ithaca folk getting involved...way more so than myself. I went to school with both Will and Christian. Best of luck guys!
  10. Glad to see some love for Madison's '05 unis. Definitely my favorite design since the '90s. I really wish they would bring back those unis and just modernize them a bit...whatever that means. I agree with what people are saying about SCV's. Seemed an unnecessary change that did not quite have the class of the previous few years. I likes the Crossmen's quite a bit, but it could have used some red in there to really sell it.
  11. Winning comment! But yeah, I really hope the Scouts truly pick it up where they left off last year. Last year I truly felt the intensity that has been lacking in the previous few years. If they can kick it up just a few notches this year...look out!
  12. I agree completely. If you are a good and disciplined musician, you can become fluent and proficient on any instrument that you put a great amount of work into. Go for it!
  13. Pretty much every day, usually when I'm taking care of things at home or running errands. I love to roll down the windows and crank it up! I will also second playing shows on long trips. 12 minute shows really do break up long trips and keep you nice and alert!
