  1. Figured there at least ought to be a thread where the scores from these two shows are discussed. We should have those fairly soon. The last corps at both events (Madison Scouts, one of ten corps at Oceanside; and Santa Clara Vanguard, one of six corps at Auburn) ought to be performing right now. The Auburn show includes the DCI debut of a new Open Class corps, Battalion (there are eight Open Class performing in these two shows).
  2. Hi Everyone! I'm Erik, current director of High Country Brass. At our (planned) first performance at DATR Cheyenne this year I decided we should have a web series about the corps, so I've shot and edited an episode every time we've gotten together since then. Please enjoy, feedback is welcome, and I can't wait to see you all in Rochester in a few days! http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLp1dxepcoNfco5CTT4qeDNYAoP8dKiTv2
  3. High Country Brass[1] is proud to announce their 2014 program “Heist Country Brass” featuring music from the films The Thomas Crown Affair, The Italian Job and From Russia With Love. The show is a tribute to the heist film genre’s suspenseful action sequences, unexpected plot twists and thrilling soundtracks. Whether you're a recent junior corps age out, brand new to marching music, or haven't picked up a horn/drum/flag in years, we want you to be a part of our exciting 10th anniversary season! We have spots available in all hornline sections, in the battery, in the front ensemble, and the color guard. Our next brass and percussion rehearsal is on January 26th at Malley Recreation Center in Englewood - address and more info at http://highcountrybrass.org The color guard will start rehearsing with us after WGI is finished in April. If you're a percussionist who is currently competing in WGI and can't make it to rehearsals until April please let us know you're interested so we can keep you updated on available spots! If you have any questions please ask away here, shoot me a private message, or e-mail us at recruiter@highcountrybrass.org We're currently planning on traveling to Minnesota for a weekend of DCA shows in August, and to Rochester, NY for DCA Championships on Labor Day weekend. We're looking at several other local performances and events throughout the spring and summer. Thanks for reading, I look forward to seeing you at our next rehearsal! Erik Skinner - Corps Director
