Hello all from across the pond, We have completed our 2016 season and we are all safely home from the DCE European Championships where the corps placed in 3rd and took High Brass. (Field Music) The preparations for the 2017 season are well underway, the show has been chosen and is promised to be another great crowd pleaser. I am personally very excited to see the corps perform this show! Very soon the details for this will be announced, keep your eyes peeled. Also the arrangements for the DCA Tour are pretty much done, a lot of the tour will consist on re-visited places we have been before so its been a lot easier to make sure things get organised. However this is promised to be our biggest and best tour to date, we're looking at a pretty big touring party with more families joining us and the corps potential numbers are looking very healthy. We're very excited for 2017 and can't wait to perform for you all once again! bit.ly/JoinKS17 - I'll be updating this page with all the details about the tour and where you will be able to come and see us etc. Cheers, Sam

"2015 Fanfare!" (Bridgeport, Aug. 29)
N.E. Brigand posted a topic in DCA - All-Age Corps Discussions
I didn't see a thread for this show, to be hosted by the Hurricanes (and the Bridgeport Police Activities League) this Saturday. Here is the website. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. The venue is John F. Kennedy Stadium, which Google tells me is on U.S. Rte. 1 (North Ave.) between Park Ave. and Main Ave. in Bridgeport, CT (zip 06606). There are three corps performing in exhibition: Hawthorne Caballeros Alumni Connecticut Alumni Park City Pride And six in competition: Hurricanes Caballeros Kidsgrove Scouts Sunrisers Skyliners Excelsior The site doesn't say, but presumably those are in reverse performance order--and probably with the exhibition corps following. According to the seating chart, as of today, 218 of the 320 reserved seats (@ $15) have sold. No indication on how the general admission seats (@ $10) are selling. I am curious about the notation reading "Candadians order 14, 7 8". I won't be there, but I look forward to news from anyone who is.- 13 replies

... until the Kidsgrove Scouts land in the US. To say we're excited to be coming back over is something of an understatement! This year our baritone/euphonium line is bigger and badder than ever and very much looking forward to bringing you the bass. Here;s a short montage introducing this year's line. https://youtu.be/QzwVg_VdrIU
