  1. After hearing that Music City moved up to world class for 2018, I began to wonder what other corps might make it into either open or world class in the future. This list is my predictions: Predictions for future World Class Corps: Battalion - 2025 Legends - 2022 Louisiana Stars - 2027 Columbians - 2028 Guardians - 2025 Southwind - 2026 Predictions for future open class corps: Tall City - 2019 Arsenal - 2019 Encorps - 2019 Armada - 2020 Appalachian Sound - 2020 Vessel - 2018 Arbella - 2022 Hub City Guardians -
  2. Legends seems to be in a pretty dire situation financially. They need significant funds to keep the corps moving down the road to Indy. Take a look at the video from their director and consider helping them out if you can: https://www.classy.org/campaign/legendsnow/c138390

Last night in Troy, Legends beat Spartans by 1.5 pts., so it will be very
  5. This show is already well underway. Is anyone there? 6:10 p.m. Les Stentors 6:26 p.m. Raiders 6:42 p.m. 7th Regiment 6:58 p.m. intermission 7:20 p.m. Legends 7:36 p.m. Spartans Will Legends stay ahead of Spartans? Will 7th Regiment tighten the gap from the top two? And where will Raiders fit in after a month off?
  6. Organized by latest score, on the model of Spandy's DCA thread. For a weighted list of all DCI corps for the past week, see hostrauser's threads in the W.C. forum. For comparative graphs of any two corps over time, select DCP's "Scores / Stats" button above. 1. 82.325 - Blue Devils B (8/8 Indianapolis, IN) [+1.525 8/7] 1st at O.C. Championships; Season Complete (at 1st [15th W.C.]) 2. 80.200 - Vanguard Cadets (8/8 Indianapolis, IN) [+0.900 8/7] 2nd at O.C. Championships; Season Complete (at 2nd [18th W.C.]) 3. 74.075 - Genesis (8/8 Indianapolis, IN) [-1.100 8/7] 3rd at O.C. Championships
  7. The DCI website is oddly limited in its information about this show. There is no zip code listed in the address. And no actual address, for that matter, just the name of the street. A little scouting with Google maps provides that data, but I'd also note that DCI's page for this show says still today, the day of the show, that "Ticket information about this event will be available soon." Anyway: A Blast in the Burg Memorial Field 284 W. Center Street Johnsonburg, PA 15845 Thursday, July 24 -- 7:00 p.m. Performance order: --Coastal Surge --Genesis --Stentors --Raiders --Legends --7
  8. Fiesta de Musica Clem Lemire Sports Complex Memorial High School 1 Crusader Way Manchester, NH 03103 Saturday, July 19, 2014 -- 5:30 p.m. Performing corps: Defenders (in exhibition) Muchachos (in exhibition) Racine Scouts Legends Stentors 7th Regiment Spartans How will les Stentors do in their 2014 debut? Will 7th Regiment stay ahead of Spartans? After a couple weeks off for both corps, will their scores show enough improvement to put them ahead of Blue Devils B's, Vanguard Cadets', and Genesis's scores? And bravo to Legends and especially Racine Scouts for traveling farther than
  9. Because most of these tiny shows get overlooked, and because I enjoyed it quite a lot, here is my review of Sunday's show! (Disclaimer: this review will likely be deficient in color guard and drumline commentary. I'd rather spare you "Wow, drumline's big" and "flags were nice but it was windy" because I admittedly don't have much expertise in these areas.) Legends: This was my first ever experience with Legends. I found the hornline to have a warm and nice sound, generally, however, the visual element definitely hurt the musical delivery. Granted it's early July, so there's still plenty of ti
  10. I don't see a thread for this show, which should be about half over now. Schedule as per From the Pressbox (CDT): 7:15 Legends 7:32 Colt Cadets 7:49 Genesis 8:26 Colts 8:43 Troopers 9:00 Phantom Regiment 9:17 Cavaliers It looks like a little rain is about to roll through, although I don't think it will last. If you're there, or after you're there, chime in here!
  11. There are actually two shows in Illinois tonight. About 75 minutes west of Lisle, six corps compete in Dixon, where it looks likely the Colts will take first place. I don't see another thread for this show, so... Dixon Petunia Festival A.C. Bowers Field, Dixon High School Lincoln Statue Drive Dixon, IL 61021 Here's the lineup, with times again per From the Pressbox: 6:15 p.m. - Legends 6:32 p.m. - Genesis 6:49 p.m. - Colt Cadets 7:23 p.m. - Pioneer 7:40 p.m. - Jersey Surf 7:57 p.m. - Colts Remember once more that those are Central time.
