jaylogan Posted July 28, 2007 Share Posted July 28, 2007 Thanks for taking the time to offer a review, but I gotta disagree with your take on Blue Devils.I don't agree that they have half a great show..I think the ENTIRE show is the best thing on the field this year, both in terms of execution and entertainment... I agree with this post. The Blue Devils have the best show out there this year in my opinion, with Cavies a very close second (from what I've seen on SA Encore videos...haven't seen changes lately). After further listens, the second half of the show stands out to me as more interesting and dramatic than the first half, musically speaking. But, the comments I made are true, based on comments by a lot of "non-honks" b**bs BTW - both my daughters auditioned for Xmen. The oldest would be marching if she wasn't only 15 :P Steve I meant no offense hehe. You are a proud dad who deserves to honk a bit from time to time. He didnt write it for you, he wrote it for anyone that is interested in what he felt like writing. He didnt buy a ticket to watch what you wanted him to, or write about what you feel is important. You read it, take the information, thank the poster, agree or disagree and move on. Its his review, you are just a person reading it, as we all are. Arent you the same person who chastised me for not taking picture of Jersey surf ?? Oh, well tough for YOU. You want to see so bad, go to shows. GMichael1230 Posted July 28, 2007 Share Posted July 28, 2007 I marched in a corps that always went on first and its insulting. well i'd rather watch cadets drumline play 4 on a hand and bd blow space cords than see the product you have been working on all summer. like i said before "FANS" disgust me. Sorry you have such little admiration for your experiences. Fans disgust you ? Why would you want them to watch you perform then ?? GMichael1230 Posted July 28, 2007 Share Posted July 28, 2007 Sorry man, but I'm a drummer and I go to DCI shows not only to see great performance on the field, but also in the lot by the drumlines. I realize that means I many times have to miss the first 2 or 3 performances, but its worth it to me to be able to see lines like the Blue Devils, Cavies, Bluecoats, etc. up close and personal.Again, sorry for writing a partial review, but I see people do it on here all the time, for the same reasons I have given. You dont have to apologize to anyone, you are doing those of us that werent there a favor by sharing your thoughts, taking the time to write them down and letting us get a peak at what you experienced.
