Wayne
(Poster to be revised.) The Florida Dragon Organization, after having amazing success in DCPI Season VIII, has decided that it is time that we hold a DCPI Preseason event of our own. If you have participated in the FMB’s Dragon Festival of Music, you know that you will not be disappointed! The FDO is sure to offer only the best when it comes to Pageantry Art events, and this one will not be an exception. The Dragon Festival of Corps will be a three day event where corps from all over the country can come to sunny Florida and compete for top honors. The entire FDO will be participating in the festival with all three corps performing in judged exhibition as well as the FDBattalion Percussion Symphony. The Florida Dragon Vanguard (in the FMB Division) will also be performing in exhibition as well. Ratings will also be given at this event. Logistics for the Showcase of Corps: Up to three corps will be allowed to compete in this event, just as long as all of the corps is in separate classes. There are five competitive classes in which corps can apply for (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A). Corps can also apply to perform in judged exhibition if they wish. Directors are allowed to send up to FIVE corps to compete in the Showcase. Directors may also submit alumni corps if they wish. There will be no limit as to how many corps will be allowed to compete at this event. Corps will not be allowed to compete at a higher class than what your membership allows. Classes might be adjusted to insure a balanced amount of ensembles in each class. Showcase Class Ranges: (Likely to change) A: No more than 40 members AA: 41 - 60 members AAA: 61 – 90 members AAAA: 91 – 120 members AAAAA: 121 - 150 members Judged Exhibition: Any size band, only ratings will be posted.
