Style preferences

Given some enthusiastic response to some alumni corps doing a more "traditional" style show I was wondering if there was a preference, among the fans at large, as to which style of show should be performed.

Comparison's will probably be unavoidable, but I'm not talking about better vs worse, because you absolutely cannot/couldn't watch a show and not admire what is/was being done by the performers on the field.

I'm just asking, which style would you prefer to enjoy? I broke the question into decades because I see a changing of styles that seems to move generationally about every 10 years.

No need to bash one style over another. Keep it friendly, please.

If you chose a decade, Which corps, for you, epitomises that style?

90's and 21st Century....

And I own the Legacy DVD's, so I've seen the 70's and 80's as well. With some exceptions towards the end of the 80's, those shows bore me.

Drum corps is drum corps and I watch drum corps no matter what decade, era or style.

Mid 90's to mid 00's. 1995-2003 to be precise. Don't like much before or after those years.

I love all eras of drum corps, but the 70's really stick out for me. That was the era that got me totally hooked on drum corps. I love that aggressive (though strangly refined) sound, especially from corps like the Madison Scouts.

I'd say, though, that my favorite drum corps time frame would be between 1974-1993.
