Marching on a treadmill

I was working out today, walking and running on the treadmill, and then I turned around and tried to march backwards on it. It felt like I had to take pretty big steps in order to keep from falling off. It felt like my legs were getting a better workout, but I didn't do it for very long because I was afraid someone would walk in on me lol.

Does anyone do this to get in shape for the season? Forward or backward? How about breathing block on the treadmill?

Would people get mad if I do that at the Y or something?

Is there any actual rules of what you can and can not do on a treadmill.

I'm sure you could totally get kicked out for like crawling o the tread mill or something dumb to that effect. You might get weird looks marching but at least it looks like you are working out

Oh no! I hope a certain person doesn't see "the Treadmill Dance", or we'll probably see a certain corps with treadmills on the field, in a year or two! b**bs
