A 1969 show at the City of Brotherly Love...I'll have a cheesesteak..."wit"...????

The corps has a name that is the second half of the name of my favorite all time opener played by the 27th Lancers, if I am not mistaken???

The judge is wearing khakis. perhaps a hint that the show is a VFW or similar event.

VFW always had a mixed panel, and the judges wore their regular association uniforms.

Sometimes with a little personalization.

At '69 VFW in Philly, there were 2 CSJA judges in their B&Ws. But both of them were Irish. So Ed Morrissey (bugles) wore orange socks, and Bob Currie (drums) wore green socks.

Sounds like the Yankee Rebels at the Baltimore St Patricks Day parade.

Or as one member put it "It takes balls to wear orange on St Patricks Day".

Listened to the 1969 Kilties recently and it's no surprise they had a great year.

I'm wondering who wrote the brass book. Reminds me a tad of Tru Crawfords work with Big Blue.

Would that arranger be Mr. Norman?

For a quarter of a century, 1952-1976, all the Kiltie music was written by just two men - Emil Pavlik and Mr. Norman.
