It might help to list the folks involved in making the Park City Pride such a great alumni corps: The Pride’s musical staff includes Grammy Award winning arranger Frank Dorritie as director of music production. Horn instructors include drum corps favorites, Art Hylwa and Paul Mayer, drum arranger and instructor John Oddo assisted by Tony Palumbo and Bob Wilcox. Visual design is provided by Drum Corps of America, Hall of Fame member, Robert Findley and assisted by Rich Mastrioani. The Pride also boasts a large color guard that adds spectacular flag and rifle work and a few surprises and is choreographed by the renowned Skip Gallant. Tell us a little bit about yourself and why you are interested in the Park City Pride. We'd love to greet you at the event and make your visit enjoyable. P.S. Did we tell you that the Pride will be performing at the Open House?
PCPInfo
I like the idea that everyone is welcome to bring friends and family - after all that's what the Pride is about.
ironlips
The best part for me is that I can't help but have a good time around these folks. Though they approach rehearsing and performing in quite the professional manner, these are some of the most fun-loving people I've ever met. This group knows how to create an all-around good vibe, a sort of "Drum-Corps-meets-Monty Python" thing. This little shindig could be a hot ticket. Read the article titled “The Mystique of Alumni Drum Corps” by Barbara DiRusso which appeared under the topic heading “Retro or Relic” in the commemorative book for the 2007 America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration. This is a wonderful article capturing the spirit of alumni drum corps . A must read for alumni and fans alike! The article is posted on our website with the permission of the author.
