Matt_S Posted April 18, 2008 Share Posted April 18, 2008 1996 Phantom Regiment...the show that made me a fan for life in DCI 1999 BD was the show that did that for me, and I soooo wanted to vote for it. I think if we had the opportunity to vote for our second-favorite first place show then BD 1999 would get my vote, this time just narrowly edging out SCV 1999 in third. So many great shows to pick from on this list, though. Unlike the other placements, even those as high as second and third, when I see someone else's vote I keep catching myself saying "oooo, good choice!" ...and I'm saying that about just about every show! PR '96, Cadets '00, BD '86, Star '91, Cavaliers '04, I can't think of a single show that's been named so far that doesn't deserve that vote. Best show evah!!! I didn't get to see Cadets in 2000 - they and SCV are the two I really missed out on, because they didn't come to Indy. That reaction, though, is exactly how I responded to the Blue Devils' openers in both 2004 and 2007. I just laughed for the sheer absurdity of the excellence I was seeing.
