I didn't find that at all. I think PC needs to have a better sound. They are already loud. It needs to sound better though. I think Academy needs to play less notes. It sounds like they had a show written for the Cadets. Lots of notes...without the cleanliness. They are both pretty close, but PC had a lot more moments of "that was good." geluf Posted July 6, 2008 Share Posted July 6, 2008 Just in case nobody else had noticed, Pacific Crest is in the top 10 in most captions right now. I some cases as high a 6th. Not sure if the alleged "west coast inflation" has anything to do with it or not. Just thought I'd point it out. It'd be nice to hear some discussion about a corps not from Allentown, Rockford, Rosemont, Ft. Mill or Canton. This happens pretty much every year. PC gets scores that place them solidly in the top 10....until they hit a regional where everyone performs. No knock on PC, its just been the trend for several years now. Lots of notes...without the cleanliness. The Academy needs to march more. Their horns stand around way too much, esp. when playing. Their guard is at the same level as last year.
