MattJ
Awards was quite the party. Cavies took the field a-la-BD "absurdity" style (very good-naturedly though!), Crown's guard were having a lot of fun, and Mexican waves all along the stands.... And, as for the score announcement... "Racing into second place, with a score of 98.100....... the Blue Devils" About half a beat's silence and then the stadium went crazy. Truly amazing scenes. Even more so when the winning score of 98.125 was announced. Closest ever, non-tying, DCI finals? Phantom deserved it tonight... it was an outstanding performance. And kudos to the judges for "calling it as they saw it". With this level of margin, no one judge could have called the contest -- big respect to them too. (SCV were flat, by the way. Coats had a cracker of a show and deserved the only other place switch of the night!)

JMS0527
I think my neighbors might have went deaf. Be glad they didn't call the police fearing that you'd just been murdered
VKMello84
I really regret not being there for this, I am sure it would have been awesome. I was there the first time that Star won, and Cavalier and Garfield. In 1983, they didn't even really restrict access to the field. I was able to go right down to the sideline for Garfield's encore. I actually leaned against the DM podium. That was some festive stuff, I almost felt like I was part of it.

07-Socks
I think you should figure out how to download it off of your phone, convert it to .wav, .aac or .mp3 and share!!!! Got an old ### Nokia phone...Old enough that my phone company doesn't have a car charger for it in stock. But as soon as I can figure out a way to share it, if possible, you know I will. Land_Surfer
We can all finally bury Reliable Rondo's saying: "the best corps to never win" for good, now. When was the last time a corps moved up each night from third to first?
