Bydloyoho
Another vote for Phantom 07 here. Great show - one of my most listened to for the last while.

bluecoats88
Crown 08 is by no means a legendary show. Have Drum Corps fans become that dummed down? They had a very loud brass line, that's about it. also, that horn line was aided by never going behind the center X while playing. no wonder they were really loud. But I guess if you are playing nothing but endings the drill just kinda became ending drills which tend to be stacked in the front of the field. trionbd
Yes. We're all dumb. As dumb as thinking a statement from a fan who liked one show means he is labeling it LEGENDARY for the masses.I liked the show, too. It's a little more than a loud brass line. I've heard from many people that the "sound" of the current hornline is one of their all time faves. The guard doesn't stink either. Kinda liked some visuals, too. I seriously don't get why compliments for Crown elicit so much vitriol. Is it the "less than 30 years in existence" thing? They didn't come on the scene with tons of $$$ and the best of everything. There's been a lengthy and sometimes bumpy ride, with a slow progression forward. Why can't a compliment by one go by without inspiring venom by another? "Can't we all just get along?" -RK This might be the most sensible post I've ever read on DCP!
DCImonkey
so if crown only plays loud, what does phantom do? They play loud...but have stick-outs :)

trionbd
1995 Madison (hate to beat the dead horse even more, but c'mon, that was the $%). Don't know how these other shows would stack up competetively, but the best of the rest... 2003 Phantom 1984 Phantom 1980 Spirit (blew the stands back a mile) 1990 Blue Devils (not the classic Devs show, but I've always enjoyed this one)
