Galen
How about a show of Queen Tune? I have always thought their music would translate great into DC and would be a hit with the fans. I agree with that. Here's the rep I'd use Opener: Fat Bottomed Girls/Bicycle Race Ballad: Save Me Drum feature: Ogre Battle Finale: Bohemian Rhapsody Exit Cadence: Another one bites the dust
MikeD
The Cavaliers -"Fantasia" utilizing music from "Fantasia" and "Fantasia in G" by Timothy Mahr, even though they have played it. The band I work with and do the wind/percussion charts for is doing "Fantasia in G" by Tim Mahr as our opener this fall. For the other poster... Yes, he is the Olaf's guy. For those who do NOT know the piece, it is primarily a concert band piece that uses the melody from Beethoven's 9th, "Ode to Joy", as it's central theme. donbellamy
Good news for you, you can see phantom do it. They played it in 06 =DThat was the show that made me fall in love with drum corps Ummm no, just watched it, I'm talking about a corps with the balls to take something like the first and last movements (at a minimum) and turn it into a complete show, not just a sampling of the end of the last movement. (Mahler symphony #2)
