I can start this off (DCI Finals' High Drums):

1972: Kingsmen

1974: SCV

1975: SCV

1976: BD

1977: BD

1978: SCV

1979: SCV

1980: Bridgemen

Who wants to continue with the 1980s?

The Bridgemen also won in 81 & 82, 88 was Cadets, 89 was SCV and 91 was SCV on a tiebreaker, if i'm not mistaken Cavies won in 92.

Yep, '88 was SCV. Cadets were winning drums pretty consistently up until finals night that year. To add to the '91 "controversy", it was actually a three-way tie adding in Star, but with the tie-breaker it was still a tie between Cavies and SCV so they just gave both corps trophies.

Here's the list combining and adding what I know for a complete list

1972: Kingsmen

1973: SCV

1974: SCV

1975: SCV

1976: BD

1977: BD

1978: SCV

1979: SCV

1980: Bridgemen

1981: Bridgemen

1982: Bridgemen

1983: BD

1984: BD

1985: BD

1986: BD

1987: Cadets

1988: SCV

1989: SCV

1990: Cadets

1991: Cavaliers, SCV

1992: Cavaliers

1993: Star

1994: BD

1995: Cavaliers

1996: BD

1997: BD

1998: SCV

1999: Cavaliers

2000: Cavaliers

2001: Cadets

2002: Cadets

2003: Cadets

2004: SCV

2005: Cadets

2006: Phantom

Since you're talking about tie breakers, the 1980 Spirit of Atlanta actually won the Percussion execution caption by a tenth on both sheets, lost the exposure subcaption of the analysis sheet by a tenth to Bridgemen and tied on the excellence subcaption on the same sheet. That left Spirit and Bridgemen tied for the "Percussion Trophy" as it had been awarded in the past.

As I understand it, with no policy in place for a tie in that caption, someone made an impromptu decision to go to the Percussion GE score which had not been factored in at all in the overall Percussion trophy any other year and awarded Bridgemen the trophy..... (Not that any of those guys that actually marched Spirit that year have ever mentioned it to me or anything.... LOL).

Interestingly enough, even though Bridgemen benefited from their number in GE Percussion to earn their title, they didn't win the GE Percussion caption, 27th Lancers did !! 27th also won the percussion "exposure" subcaption and tied Spirit and Bridgemen in the Excellence sub caption. They were several tenths down in pure execution to both Spirit and Bridgemen which kept them out of contention for that title.

Quite a few great drumlines that year !!

Pretty sure 88 was SCV, not Cadets.

SCV lost Percussion Performance to the Cadets in "88" 14.9-14.8. Now unless they added G.E that year, Cadets won the trophy

I think '88 was one of the years they averaged all three nights for caption awards.

'88 Cadets are, to me, one of the most underrated drumlines ever. I really liked what they did that year. I would even put them above the '87 line.
