Ex VK DM
another question...I've been told that the bus seats can become very personalized - sheets, baskets?, pouches? What's up with that? Is it necessary? Thanks in advance! If you happen to be good with a sewing machine (thanks mom), you can make a seat slip cover that fits over the seat in front of you with pockets and such for easy acces during those long bus rides. To think of all the cassette tapes I took on tour and my WalkMan. All that and more can simply fit on a little iPod. Aqua socks/Water shoes are great bus footwear. Easy on and off when it comes to being one of the first off the bus at a stop, while eveyone else looks for their shoes. Plus are a must in the shower. Whatever is taken on tour, make sure it can be carried in one trip. Nothing worse than arriving at a school at 4 or 5 am and having to take 2 trips from the bus to the gym to get all your stuff situated. BigSnareline
Man, I thought I was well equipped on tour when I marched. I had clothes, drumsticks, a sleeping bag, a pillow, and a 1 inch foam pad to put under the sleeping bag. I even managed to pack a Buddy Rich practice pad in my suitcase....
