star27th
Did Star of Indiana ever have a co-ed guard? Off the top of my head, I want to say no. Star was all female excpet for 1987 if you count jugglers as guard members.

wsssb
The Velvet Knights guard went co-ed starting in 1977. Here's a shot of the rifle line: Of course, we had women in the horn line when I started in 1974.

Here's a shot of the rifle line: Of course, we had women in the horn line when I started in 1974. Just an observation that proves (to me at least!) Women are less aggressive than men. Otherwise they wouldn't stick their rifle barrels into the dirt - clogging up the barrels and rendering them useless. Of course we had a group of guys - they were good - but Anaheim, Blue Rock, VK and others has stellar rifle sections. Puppet
jerzykyd
In the early '70s, the CMCC Warriors, from the Bronx, had girls on flag and boys in the rifle line ... And the rifle line smoked! A lot of those guys wound up in the Skyliners later on. I marched Polish Falcons rifle line in the early 70's and we competed against CMCC. Their guard was real strong and their gun line did some innovative stuff. They were tight !
