Thats funny that they are using the artist Sigur Ros... Onyx is as well. Don't know about Flanagan's song selection, but Onyx is using Ara Batur.

hmmm...

Flanagan has used selections from Sigur Ros since 2007 ... possibly longer.

In regards to Flanagan's show, I believe this was posted on the WGI website today.

Seems like a typical "Flanagan show," but I think I'd be opening a can of worms I don't mean to... In any case, it'll be interesting to see where they take this.

As for Braddock, anyone know which Radiohead song they're using? I'm excited now knowing the typical "Braddock show," I wonder how they'll bring the 'Braddock booty' into it...

Haven't heard much about Stoneman, but I think this is a tactical move on the team's part; a smart move I believe. As I've always thought, it's better to have others anticipate you're arrival and greet you with an unexpected surprise than allow them time to formulate some sort of idea of granduer, only to be slightly disappointed in the end...not that I'm saying we'll be disappointed by they're performance. I'm a fan, always rooting for an underdog!!

I also believe someone mentioned FIU? I do hope they're better than they were in the past couple years... I don't mean to pass judgement (but then again, I think in the colorguard world, what else is there but judgement?), but last year's Amazing Grace?? We'll see how they do in A class this year...

Anyone know what they're doing this year?

I'm eager to see Premonition again - I LOVED them last year.

Agreed: I, too, am eagerly looking forward to seeing Premonition.

As a first-year guard, they had a really impressive season last year.

And for a brand new ensemble to START in IW...??? With the big boys...??? Wow. Talk about daunting. But they delivered. And they almost qualified for finals, too, which is a terrific showing for a first-year ensemble.

For me, though, the burning question that I need answered about Premonition '09 is, of course, will the fabulous "double-rifle chick" again display her AMAZING ability to spin, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin.

What an absolute delight she was. From the very first show of the season right up to prelims in Dayton, every audience lost their one and only mind when she got goin'.

(Editor's note: I gushed about this fabulous performer several times last season, too. Guess I never did get it completely out of my system, huh...???)

Here's an idea: I want someone out there in color guard land to make a t-shirt for that woman that says - on both sides and in great big, easy to read letters - "I'm the double-rifle chick from Premonition" and send it to her in Ft. Lauderdale.

Seriously, if she were to wear a shirt like that in the stands at a WGI event, she'd be mobbed for autographs, photos, she'd be asked to hold babies, people would toss room keys at her, there would be fainting - you name it.

So, yes: I'm looking forward to seeing how Premonition has grown and evolved since last year. There's always room in the gym for one more terrific guard in IW.

Good luck to everyone in '09...!!!

according to my source the meshugener "sebastienne st. jacque" recently spied on and was thrown out of a farenheit rehearsal in orlando fla. and according to him "the guard is extremely well prepared for this time of the year and looking great".he went on to say "they are demonstrating some very unique equipment vocabulary and lot's of non-stop movement"."this will be an entertaining program for the all the fans" he assured me.

caught attempting to steal some of their signature moves sebastienne's video recorder was seized and he was promptly escorted out of the gym by james van romer with no further incident.

Actually not really a 1st year guard.. A spin off of Medea But nonetheless a great job done and the young lady brought the house down.

If you really want to see something the High School young ladies of Arcadia HS demonstrate that same skill only all the guard doing backhands and several with 2 rifles. ( A signature move for many years for them. ) Crowd loves it !!!

You know what I haven't seen on this topic yet? Choctaw! I wonder how things are over there... Anyone know?

Yeah, I haven't yet heard anything about them yet this season either.

Of course, everything moves a little bit slower up there in the panhandle. (Remember: in Florida, The further North you go, the further South you get...!!!)

So, maybe the rumors/facts/details of their '09 program haven't yet trickled down to this part of the state.

Although, I did hear that they've had - how to put this delicately - an "unexpected change in leadership" since last season.

Not sure who's actually making the trains run for them now. But I'm sure that the talented Choctaw staff once again will deliver a really top-flight program this year.
