GGarrett
Wow... way to go Joey! When there is talk about a person who has given the better part of their life to drum corps in some form or another, it has to include Joey Banks. Started as a Junior Scout and marched all his years as a Madison Scout after that; marched in the Alumni project in 2006; his family (most notably his grandmother "Oliie Mae" who handled feeding the corps for many years) involved in the corps; and Joey himself continues involvement with kids in Boys & Girls Club and the Black Star Drumline, and as a professional drummer in and around the Chicago and Madison area, performing with some of the biggest names in Blues and rock music. Joey on the far left when I marched with him: and at one of the first practice sessions of the alumni corps in 2006... he's in the center with the Zildjian shirt on:
bass5
Just got back from camp and Joey's kids just added to what was already a great weekend. As usual the Scouts were, as they say, doing the right thing.

Piper
Kudos to the Madison Scouts for seeing the forest through the trees and exhibiting what the junior Drum and Bugle Corps activity is really all about. BRAVO ZULU !
