MJN
Kind of ironic, I was just telling a friend, who marched 4 yrs. with Scouts today, that I thought SCV should have won in '88. Kind of think that the Scouts most certanly would exist today.
Baritone13
Inventions for a new meliineum wouldnt have made sense in 1998
DanjrusMcRynky
Inventions for a new meliineum wouldnt have made sense in 1998 Wouldnt matter anyways...Copland wasnt any less of a show than Inventions...IMO it was a far superior show, and should have won. 1999...not so sure. Sideways
What if Star had won in '93?
Cop
Would'a worked for me....88 was the superior version, imo. Visual was light years better in 1989 vs. 1988....... Color guard went from High School (88) to one of the best SCV guard shows to date (IMHO). thats the way call it... Cop
What if Star had won in '93? Now THAT is a good question.
84BDsop
What if Star had won in '93? They still would've left the field....as has been said NU-MER-OUS times onn this board and elsewhere...the contract with the Canadian Brass had been signed long before finals...breaking that kind of contract would've been financially costly, as well as in a credibility sense. Jason Harrison
Inventions for a new meliineum wouldnt have made sense in 1998 Didn't make sense in '99 either. The new millennium started in in '01 not '00. For those that want to argue, count to 2000 and somehow end on 1999. That is the only way that the new millennium could have started in 2000. Remember there was no year zero. It went 1BC straight to 1AD

LaSqueegee
Boy, this thread reminds me of the movie Back to the Future....basically we would be creating an "alternate 1988," which would change everything....DOC BROWN HELP!!
