euponitone
I'd be dammed if I could tell you what Connexus was about...but hey....that worked out pretty well I think. I disagree...it worked out horribly....for me anyway
baristeve
I'd be dammed if I could tell you what Connexus was about...but hey....that worked out pretty well I think. It's about how there's another dimension that all living things that ever existed exist in a huge ball and there is no electromagnetic field so all of our bodies and minds are fused together and everything is happening at once, because there is no perception of time.... we are all connected. DUH.
oldbandguy
For anyone not familiar with Haitian Fight Song, here's an all girl high school jazz band that know how to play! A GREAT SONG...can't wait to hear what the Bluecoats do with this.

HardCorp
Tell you what, when the Bluecoats present the piece with ride cymbal rhythms and a continuous groove, I will admit I am incorrect in my assumption. Until then I stand by my assertion. If you think Haitian Fight Song is "pseudo" Jazz, then you know nothing about Jazz.
kac
why does it have to connect? will drum corps cease to exist without a cogent theme package?and...btw... LLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Exactly- why can't it just be "four songs we like"? (but that's the old timer in me I guess) Sounds like a great show!
Cardman
I have never heard of "Haitian Fight Song". I'm betting it's a "music major's" piece in other words, only the music majors enjoy it. I hope I am wrong though...
Cardman
Ok...I decided to check out the youtube link to listen to it and I have to say it is an awesome song! (at least for big band jazz..) hopefully it will translate well to the field. I'm excited now. BLOOOOO!
idlethreats
Tell you what, when the Bluecoats present the piece with ride cymbal rhythms and a continuous groove, I will admit I am incorrect in my assumption.Until then I stand by my assertion. Yes, because those two things solely define Jazz...
