kevingamin
Music City starts out pretty old school - The guard is in the same uniform as the corps and the drum major is carrying a mace.

kevingamin
Even more old school - The guard is on batons and the DM starts the show with a whistle. Nice strong opening from the corps on Strike Up the Band. Guard now switching to flags. Fun arrangement of Strike Up the Band. Horns are on the other side of the field from me so I'm getting a pretty delayed sound from them.
kevingamin
Drum line up front for a feature. Lots of aggressive playing, but they need to clean it up. Crowd was pretty happy with it, though. First ovation of the night. Guard now split on flags and rifles. Baritones/euphoniums doing a great job on 76 Trombones moment. Very nice, mellow, and quite in tune. kevingamin
Finishing up Strike Up the Band. Very strong performance so far for the first year corps. Guard changes out of corps uniform into white uniform. Tubas have a great sound at the beginning of Tennessee Waltz. Trumpet soloist needs to play with more confidence. Mello joins in to make it a duet. Wow, only two tubas and I can hear them clearly. Great sound. Now bari/trumpet duet. Low brass is definitely a beast in this corps.
