gypc1967
By the way, since it's not raining, why is the roof closed? Last night, they said they wouldn't be opening the roof for anyone because the field absolutely can not get wet, and it wouldn't be fair for some corps to perform with it open, and some to perform with it closed. It might effect scoring and all that. Oh, and they cited fan comfort, but we know that's a lie. Edited August 7, 2009 by gypc1967
supersop
Really nice start for Revo. Tons of integration with the guard, who are performing well. The look of the corps is very dark, making it hard to read everything when integrated tightly. Pretty clean visually from what I can tell so far. supersop
Maturity in the brass sound is a step up from those who have performed before the break. Trumpets aren't quite matching the maturity level of the rest of the hornline (but obviously have some very good players on trumpet) 3rd production has very big field spreads with lots of timing demand in the brass book ... short stab notes are lining up very nicely. supersop
Wow .. the holsinger into the Copland is being performed with a LOT of energy. Nice sustaining of phrases. A few ticks that were noticeable in the trumpets and guard, but well done overall. Nice energy on the ending star .... I like this show. WTG REVOLUTION!!! supersop
Looks like 43 Brass, 7 snare, 5 bass, 4 quad, Only 8 Guard? Nice opening statement ... mello's a tad weak in their feature ... trumpets bringing it. smart show design thus far. Good form control and well written. Strong closing to the opener. VERY NICE! supersop
I'm just noticing the difference in tuning between the pit and brass. Looks like the temp change is effecting them a bit. At least a dime flat to the pit. Nice trumpet solo and subtle dynamic changes in the ballad. Nice work.
