To take a corps that was in the top 3 in percussion and then change the entire placement single handed is an outrage. These judges and DCI need to know that the fans don't appreciate such dishonestly!!!! Congradulations to the BD and CC for a great season. Tusayan Posted August 9, 2009 Share Posted August 9, 2009 I'm kinda biased because Crown is like the super corps of the Southeast, but I know a couple of former marchers and and am considering auditioning for a spot in the 2010 hornline, and can't help but be amazed at how quick this corps has become a DCI powerhouse. How quick this corps became a powerhouse? This was Crown's 20th year. The Blue Devils won their first DCI championship in just their sixth season as a drum and bugle corps and SCV and Star won in year seven. The 2 wins today speak to the quality of the BD organization to have 2 cometitive units in separate divisions and put a goose egg in the L column. You worked hard and deserve every bit of success you have had this summer. Thank you for making this alumni so so so so so proud. :) And EXCELLENT job to Crown as well. Some could suggest what happened last year was a travesty.....I think what happened in 1980 to 27th was a travesty..... but until there is a better way to determine the world champion, it's gotta be done by humans. Humans have determined 13 times that BD is the best darn corps on earth in the DCI era.
