Does anyone know if there is any record of individuals scores at DCI for the years 1972 and 1973. So far we have only found record from 1974 and beyond....

I'm not sure if there were any. I don't recollect training any soloists or ensembles before 1974.

Thanks....I just found out from a source that there was not individuals in 72 but there were in 73. Rob Carson won snare in 73. However there is no record to be found until 74 and beyond.

I'm pretty sure there was only snare and tenors and Rob won snare and I believe Robin Menke won Tenors, both of SCV.

I found out from a few sources in the KAC that Lance Kellog won 2nd place snare that year. Lance was one of the big 8 snares in the Kingsmen 72 corps. He also marched in the KAC at the Rose Bowl in 07.

Looks like great scores except the Kiltie French horn, were they judged differently or was Dan the only FH entry--which could have fostered an unenthusiastic performance? Or were all the French horns really bad?

Could be a typo? I was looking for something else and happened to find 74 I&E a few minutes ago.

I liked the sound of French Horns in drum corps :-)

French Horn I&E 1974

Dan Holzman(Kilts) 84.3

That looks better--do you have the rest of the i/e scores for '74?
