Gary Matczak
Think that was on eBay a week or two back with a price tag of *OUCH*. I check there once in a while and some fun stuff out there if you can get past all the CDs for sale. it is still on there for $180.00,.......bugle and case,.......... also, whoever the guy is that offers all the CD's has put tons of work into the products,......but I think there are some copyright issues there,.............i can't believe they have the permission from the corps and writers to produce,.......... JimF-LowBari
now these are cool! York White Roses COOL!! have a beer glass with the Westshoremen Bonnie-Scots crest on it and think "Serenade in Brass" (home show) on it. Talked to one of the Five Star people about it and they asked if I wanted a full set. The White Roses item look like the old Fireman convention mugs you used to get (and fill repeatedly) BITD. baja
I'll see your beer glasses... ...and raise you a Whiskey Bottle and Box. Very unique. What's the story was this some sort of promotion?
Jocko the Wonder Llama
Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of information on that. My best guess is that Ezra Brooks was trying to break into the whiskey decanter market that was dominated by the Jim Beam Company. The Conquistadors bottle was made in 1971, just a few years before my time. I had seen them back in the '70s, and thought that it would be cool to have one. I was finally able to buy one on E-Bay back in 2003. The funny thing is; I was in Iraq at the time!
Northern Thunder
Very unique. What's the story was this some sort of promotion? Drum Corps News ran a full article on the Conquistadors "limited edition" decanters. It seems that Ezra Brooks made such decanters representing the VFW, American Legion and patriotic organizations. I believe these were from the early to mid-1970s.
