So what are we counting as "in DCI"? The Blue Devils C corps didn't compete at all until 2001, and only appeared at DCI Championships in 2007. BDB was exclusively PDCA/DCW most years prior to DCI taking over.

Not only did drum corps exist prior to 1972, it existed outside of DCI after 1972 as well.

I think what was meant by DCI in the poll was Junior corps. so those that say I marched 8 years but only three from 72-74 should have put 8 if they were all with a junior corps.

6. Could've done 7, but I was tired, and then I had an accident and had my knee re-constructed during the off-season, so any second thoughts about marching my age-out were decided for me. I'm actually ok with not marching my final year. I did all I could do. Marching one more time would've been nice, but I'm not sure I would've got much more out of the activity.

2 years in DCI: '88 and '89. I could have marched until '93, but I was unhappy, and could not afford to go up north to march.

One year so far. I'll age out with 4. Assuming the rules stay the same and nothing happens to me (like an accident or something like that.)
