Announcing the Yankee Rebels Music Organization

Recommended Posts

It is with great pleasure that we announce the creation of the Yankee Rebels Music Organization (YRMO)! The YRMO pledges to work to bring Drum Corps to Pennsylvania youth in the areas surrounding their three main corps. After two successful seasons in DCPI, the Yankee Rebels Board of Directors have decided to dip their feet into the waters of Open and World Class competition. It was thus decided that the Yankee Rebels would work to create new corps to introduce a farm system of drum corps to their members. The organization was thus founded and its three corps will begin competition in DCPI Season XIII. Corps, Repertoires and Uniform announcements will follow.

Black Diamond Open Class

Black Diamond of Centralia, Pennsylvania is proud to announce their debut in DCPI Season XIII Competition. Although Centralia is made up of only 9 permanent residents, they are proud to be hosting the musicians who have been sent their after audition season concluded. We would like to thank the village of Centralia for allowing us to use their fire house as a meeting place. If their is one nice thing about the town, it is that the lack of home and many open lots allow for many places to practice. The Black Diamond Drum and Bugle Corps is created as a way to bring to the East Coast the fun loving, and sometimes comedic style of drum corps seen on the West Coast. As such, Black Diamond is proud to announce their inaugural season program. After noting the success of many corps and their use of props in that other Drum Corps association, Black Diamond has decided to use this as a recipe for success. Thus we are proud to announce our Season XIII program: "TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs"! Each member of the corps will enter the field carrying a ladder and chair as well as pushing a table. The result: A drum corps show unlike any you have ever seen! The show is divided into three sections.

Tables:

Music includes "Knights of the Round Table" from "Spamalot", "Be Our Guest" from "Beauty and the Beast" and music from "The Factory".

Ladders:

Music will include "Songs of Chicago" and "Stairway to Heaven"

Chairs:

Music will include "Happy Days Are Here Again" and "Get Happy".

Black Diamond is looking forward to its first season and hopes to see you at your local DCPI Show.
