Stewing in Ewing

same here.... Based on pre-season hype I fully expected BS to come out of the gate charging.. I wonder what is keeping them down compared to these other corps...

well hype is just that.... hype.

Blue Stars are fine. They'll make some noise too now. They're good.

The off season hype machines are all turned off now.... and we're getting down to business. Come August we could have some surprises and everybody will forget the off season and preseason hype machines that were cranking out the hype.

from the picture, it looked like they were only marching 4 bass drums? I think they will be in the hunt for the last finals spot, with about 3-5 other corps. They came out fairly strong, so I think they will continue to build on that. Sometimes scores don't move for a few shows, and then they can jump up.

Thanks for your thoughts. I know someone marching Crossmen this year and I know they are working hard. Maybe it will take some time. I think there have been some injuries, but not 100% sure. I haven't followed DCI in years and am trying to get caught up with trends, expectations, etc.

Thanks.

I know for a fact Crossmen do work very hard. Seeing their score tonight reminded me of the 2006 season (rough year). But I don't think the Crossmen will have a hard time this year. They need the time to improve and hopefully scrape 12th place.

Like I said, I'm new so can you elaborate a little?

I predict Bluecoats will take the 2010 Fred Sanford Percussion Award.

Now that's bold, isn't it?

Or maybe Boston is good? Ever consider that? They did after all beat Phantom last year.

Boston was real good. Solid and great field presence. Guard is excellent and the show is both entertaining and strong.

Phantom seems to be "just there" Something is missing in this show and I think they arent even using show flags yet,...........why ???

Some strange guy dressed in orange playing the horn in the show too.......BAC was much more solid.
