I only have the DVD's to use for reference, but from a fan perspective, the field / stadium looks awesome, and provided a *great* backdrop for the groups. (And yes, this does make a difference. See Bowl, Citrus for reference.)

Thank you! Although idk about this 'improvisation on the field' you speak of... sounds like a slippery slope.

It's not like something weird is happening every night. More like, when something unexpected DOES happen, he's able to make it seem like it BELONGS in the show- and THAT is the mark of a great actor. For instance, first time I saw the show in Cedarburg, he dropped one of his feature tosses and sold it perfectly to make it seem like he was supposed to do so, and was totally believable in the process.

You had nice seats! Was that in the 300 level? I was off by the 30 in section 307. Still pretty good vantage point, but the sound had a little trouble reaching me.

I was in 500 level, aka "Bring your own oxygen tank"

And apparently my camera is actually a spy satellite in disguise. I was VERY impressed with the level of detail I was able to get from so far up.

Finals in 2004 was and is beyond compare.

Marching there was AWESOME, looking up and seeing the stands extending forever was such an amazing feeling.. :) I'm all for finals there every year! :)

Now if those two stadiums were on a ballot to choose where I would want finals I'm picking Lucas Stadium. But my personal favorite venue for drum corps is Camp Randall, Madison Wisconsin.
