Jeff Ream
how are DCA's numbers compared to ten years ago? basically doubled
Jeff Ream
about half of the opener was Los Tontos and they reprised it at the end of the show.I say this again...if BD would have performed Asphalt Cocktail regardless if Bluecoats were doing it or not, I don't believe we'd be having any discussion regarding their 2010 repertoire. really? i dont remember all of those power chords on my cd of the original. I'll have to go relisten. and if they arranged it like they Los Suertes, yes I'd imagine we would be
Jeff Ream
Just looking at corps that went to championships, 11 Open Class corps 2000 13 Open Class corps 2009 5 Class A Corps 2000 11 Class A corps 2009 that's not counting corps that are not coming to finals. DCI's numbers reflect those that do not attend finals. I'd say because of that, DCA has about 25 total
Jeff Ream
many corps in 2000 were not full. trust me on that. It looks good like that, but you have to add that while there are more corps now in DCA, the number of members per corps is significantly smaller than in 2000 with in exception maybe the top 3 open class corps. That situation is even more true when you see 2 corps that have been so succesful in past years struggle with membership and go inactive in 2010. WOOHOO
well...yes Either way, if it's "power" chords that bother you, come on. Isn't that what drum corps is?
Jeff Ream
Either way, if it's "power" chords that bother you, come on. Isn't that what drum corps is? not all of the time. i dont mind them after some melodic content that builds to said power chord ( and trust me, i'm not using Crossmen as an example on that )
