Brent
Looks like I will be packing my rain gear for DCA. All eyes are on Hurricane Earl. Some forecasts have Early arriving into the Rochester/NY area Friday or Saturday. Anyone willing to give a "NO EARL GUARANTEE?" Still going to be there rain or shine, but praying for shine! chealion313
Looks more like only a bit of it is going to brush the coast (which sucks for me since I have to fly out from NY Friday night)...fortunately a cold front might push it out to sea. :crosses fingers:
JohnZ
as of 5am this morning all statistical models are agreeing this one will stay off the coast. still not out of the woods just yet - it may shift west and track over land or grow large enough to send some outer weather bands across NY - but I still think we can be optimistic.....while still packing that raincoat. Good points, John. Ernesto was a different story.... a direct hit on Rochester, as if someone drew a straight line from the Gulf to the city and the storm followed that path. I can't even imagine the odds of the same scenario occurring again so soon.
