Northern Thunder
Isn't the Blue Star Cadets actually the World Class Blue Stars? It was my understanding that the original Blue Stars were folded and the existing corps is an out growth of the Blue Star Cadets. The Cadets are apparently no longer active as a youth band. They were still a drum & bugle corps until 2004, when they went the youth marching band route.

Innovation of Art
We heard from the Americanos in 2010. They were in the SDCA, as well as being a parade corps. You heard from the alumni, In 2009 a parade corps was started, by a volunteer. That formed into the SDCA corps. The two main board of directors will be stepping down when the hall is sold and debt is paid off. The person who founded the alumni Association has since walked away, same person who started the parade corps. No one will make an announcement about what is going on, and no one will step up. The only reason I am sharing this, is because I do care for the history of the organization. Things could have been provented, the corps could have been back a long time ago. People just chose to sit there and let the organization sit there and now its too late.
DAvery
The Cadets are apparently no longer active as a youth band. They were still a drum & bugle corps until 2004, when they went the youth marching band route. I think the Blue Stars use the tax status of the Blue Star Cadets. Officially, for tax purposes they (Blue Stars) are the Blue Star Cadets. The "official" name of the Blue Stars is LBS Cadets, Inc. I assume LBS stands for "Lacrosse Blue Stars"? Northern Thunder
You can add the Edmonton Strutters. They are active with a guard, drumline and other marching and concert brass. The Pride of the Lions from Regina, Saskatchewan came out as a drum & bugle corps for only the 2005 season, but was prior to that, and still is, a marching band.
