Blackstar
I like to look through Corpsreps and its interesting to see some of the names of older corps. i understand the times were different but I wonder who much of a chance corps with certain names would attract kids today. Albacores (San Diego)- Reminds me of Charlie the Tuna American Patrol (Genesse NY) - Maybe sponsored by the Tea Party or Aryan Nation or both Annuciators (Cambridge Ma) - Kids today couldn't spell it or say it Zorro Rangers (Rosedale MD) - To hokey for tgodays kids. Musketeers, (several cities) See above Troubadours (several cities) Would they really know what a troubadour is...... Targets (Springfield Ma) People might take the name literlly. Surfman (Jackson NJ) First I didn't realize Jackson NJ was a big surf area and second reminds me too much of the beach boys. Sunsetters (Astoria OR) Too much like a bad senior corps sponsors by an old folks home. Any others

Several of the all-time greatest members of the Sunrisers came from that corps.
pearlsnaredrummer77
The Meridian Woodpeckers, an all-girl fife and drum corps down the road from Butler. I always get a giggle out of that name.
